I rendered this with fryrender. Rendering took about 4,5h.

The reflections are quite good but the final image was very noisy manly in dark areas (even tough I did this in HQ) so I had to photoshop it a lot.

I know what you mean.. That also happens to me sometimes. you just have to make sure that each line is at it's place.Sometimes it's quite hard because they are too small or start doing the lines from the beginning

Then it's all about trial and error I guess... Thanks for the advice, I'll test it on a M1 Abrams WIP and see what comes out.

good luck

maybe some better modellers have better advices about that lines but this what I figured out so far. try asking [link] he does gorgeous models but is kinda bussy bc he haven't answered my questions yet
